This course gives HR professionals and people managers a practical, in-depth insight into employment law.

This course gives HR professionals, people managers, supervisors and team leaders an in-depth insight into employment law and the practical HR skills to resolve day to day HR problems. For new starters, this course builds a solid foundation for future development. For seasoned professionals the course provides an in-depth examination of key and recurring aspects of employment law. Utilising practical and workable case studies in a workshop environment, this course equips delegates with practical skills to tackle common HR issues throughout the employee life-cycle. All course materials are provided, including a detailed work book with a suite of template letters for managing misconduct, poor performance and grievances. The workbook will be provided on the first day to be used during both sessions.

  • Recruitment and employment status - right to work and job descriptions
  • Key employment legislation - dismissal, discrimination and other legislation
  • Data privacy in HR
