Networking Events for Women (NEW)

NEW provides our female colleagues and allies opportunities to network, support and inspire each other to be the best they can be. 

At Freeths we believe in levelling the playing field for women in business, but we also still see a place for women specific events, covering a variety of topics that deal with all aspects of female leadership, life and business.

Who is NEW for?

Any client, business contact or intermediary is welcome to attend a NEW event. Our lawyers compile the guest lists for each event, which sometimes have a smaller, more targeted audience and other times are larger. In general, guests tend to be business owners, directors, senior managers, HR managers and those working their way up the ladder within their organisations.

What are NEW events?

Each office has a committee and plan their regional events. There are typically three events per year in each region and these may be a mixture of social activities or learning a skill and professional speakers focusing on relevant topics. Over the past few years our events have included:

• Personal shopping experience

As part of our NEW initiative, we sponsor the Women of the Year awards each year. These moved from Birmingham to Manchester in 2024 and are always an inspiring, empowering day celebrating the successes of female business leaders and entrepreneurs. We are proud to sponsor the ‘Women with Edge’ category and have built lasting business relationships with many of the nominees.
