Freeths advises Dawsongroup on record multi-million-pound transaction
Freeths Milton Keynes Real Estate team has advised Dawsongroup in relation to a £42m land sale just outside just outside the village of Brogborough at junction 13 of the M1.
The team advised the listed commercial assets supplier on the disposal of the parcel of land, measuring 14.70 acres. The transaction boasts of a record price of circa £3m/acre for land outside the M25 classified as B1/B8. Initially purchased by Dawsongroup Chairman Peter Dawson for around £45,000 as agricultural land in the 1970s, the company decided to sell the land following the pandemic and it will now be used for logistics and distribution. Dawsongroup will retain 30 acres of the original 70 acres purchased.
Freeths legal team was led by Real Estate Director Darren Debock assisted by Associate Sam Pomfret and Legal Assistant Mohammed Abdalla.
Commenting on the transaction, Darren Debock said: “We're thrilled to advise Dawsongroup on what is a monumental sale. Our Milton Keynes Real Estate team has enjoyed solid growth in recent months, reflecting that of the Freeths national team. Deals like this demonstrate our strong presence in the region and the high-level of expertise within our growing practice.”
