The private equity team at Freeths has advised LDC, the private equity investor which is part of Lloyds Banking Group, on its investment into Star Live.

Star Live is a specialist production agency that delivers live event and specialist build solutions.

The company has delivered on projects at major sporting and cultural events across the UK and internationally; notably it was responsible for the bespoke stage, grandstand seats and royal box at the Coronation concert last month.

LDC’s investment, led by Chris Handy, Mark Howden and Demetri Theofanou, will support Star Live’s existing management team in the next stage of Star Live’s ambitious growth journey, including further overseas expansion as well as investing in its people, brand, facilities and inventory of equipment.

The Freeths legal team was led by Corporate Partner Lee Clifford and Corporate Director Mohammed Abbas. They were supported by Banking Partner James Dyson, Managing Associate Nikki Guest, Senior Associates Alex Angelides and Olivia Johnson and Associates Charlotte Beddows and Sarah Bogues.
