Freeths advises on high profile acquisition of courier company Absolutely

National law firm Freeths has advised CitySprint (UK) Limited and DPDgroup, on the acquisition of final mile courier company Absolutely.

Established in 1865, courier Absolutely operates across London and the South East, with a fleet of circa 200 couriers servicing more than 2,500 clients. Part of Europe’s largest parcel delivery network DPDgroup, DPD UK acquired CitySprint in 2022, the UK’s premier same day delivery company.

This subsequent deal will now grant Absolutely customers access to CitySprint’s UK wide same day network as well as DPD UK’s domestic next day and international expertise. The acquisition will also allow DPD UK to meet the rising demand for same day delivery services and to consolidate their position as a market leader.

Freeths legal team was led by corporate partner Gary Smith, supported by associate Emma Dye.
