Freeths’ new appointment to bolster national employment offering

National law firm Freeths has appointed Rob Smedley as Employment Director in Leeds. He joins from Eversheds Sutherland.

Well regarded for his people-focused, down to earth approach, helping clients to navigate an increasingly complex area of law, Rob has more than 17 years experience in a full range of contentious and non-contentious employment law.Working for clients both nationally and internationally, he advises high profile clients on tribunal litigation, business reorganisations and transactions, cross border work, as well as full advisory support.

With a particular focus on discrimination and whistleblowing, change projects, TUPE transfers, and employee data privacy issues, Rob’s appointment will help continue to grow the Freeths employment team nationally.
