Freeths advises Nexus Residential on the launch of Soapworks
National law firm Freeths has advised Nexus Residential on the acquisition of Soapworks – a £100m mixed-use development.
Nexus Residential has partnered with Legacie on this scheme, after acquiring a former tannery site in Liverpool.
Soapworks comprises 381 residential apartments across numerous buildings, as well as private amenities and commercial spaces such as a gym, spa and a coffee shop. This deal will continue to bolster the regeneration of Liverpool’s historic Northern Quarter.
Leading the Freeths team was Real Estate Partner Stephen Lewis and Corporate Managing Associate Rosanna Brown.
Commenting on the transaction, Stephen Lewis said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Nexus Residential on another development scheme in Liverpool. Soapworks will be a huge facilitator in revitalising a key area of the city.”
