Freeths announced as key sponsor of iconic Women of the Year Awards 2024

In celebration of International Women’s Day, national law firm Freeths has today (Friday, March 8th) been announced as a leading sponsor of the prestigious Women of the Year (WOTY) Awards 2024.

Launched at the House of Lords yesterday by President, Writer and Actress Sally Lindsay, WOTY Ambassador and Deputy Speaker of the House of Lords Baroness Newlove, WOTY Director and Freeths’ lawyer Zalena Vandrewala,

WOTY Director Emma Elston MBE, and WOTY Director Wendy Dean, the 42nd luncheon is renowned for celebrating outstanding female role models across all areas of society and business. The official opening revealed the two categories available for entries this year: Businesswoman of the Year and Freeths Woman with Edge. 

This year also marks a brand-new title for one of the awards - The Emmeline Pankhurst Award – Woman of Achievement, recognising the events’ move to Manchester, the city where the suffragette movement began. With over 400 people expected in attendance, winners will be crowned at Manchester’s Etihad on Friday October 11th. 

In the lead up to the celebrations, WOTY will also host a series of networking events across the UK aimed at women working across various sectors, aiming to bring together and empower women.

Throughout its 42-year history it has donated just under £600,000 to various charitable organisations.
