Freeths commended at The Lawyer Awards 2024

National law firm Freeths has been commended for the prestigious title of Law Firm of the Year, at The Lawyer Awards 2024.

Celebrated as ‘the ultimate stage for legal mastery in the UK’, the annual awards honour the best individual performers and firms from across the legal industry.

The Lawyer Awards receive hundreds of entries each year, and Freeths’ was picked out as one of the very best in the profession as The Lawyer stated they ‘were blown away by the quality and depth of work being undertaken.’

Freeths’ success follows another year of record growth as it continues to deliver on its track record of year-on-year compound organic growth of 14.5% over the past decade. Five of the firm’s 13 offices are now generating annual revenues of more than £10 million, with Bristol, most notably, soaring through revenue targets by recording an annual revenue increase in excess of 50%.

Notably, the expansion of Freeths in the last year saw launch of the Glasgow office in July 2023 – the business’s first office outside of England, as well as multiple new office moves and refurbishments, significantly aligning with the firm’s strategic business plan and enhancing experience and offering for both staff and clients.

Not only this, but the commending also follows a year of major accomplishments for Freeths, which included being awarded its recent B Corp accreditation. The spotlight was on Freeths again in January when the firm’s National Head of Dispute Resolution, James Hartley, featured in a poignant ITV documentary where the full extent of the Post Office scandal was finally brought to light ahead of the widely reported public inquiry. James and the team have worked tirelessly and fought for many years to get justice for over 550 Postmasters.

The well-deserved accolade stands as a testament to the hard work and sheer dedication demonstrated by the 1200 plus Freeths colleagues across all of the 13 offices.
