Freeths advises on £4 million investment into robotics firm BOW
Leading law firm Freeths has advised on a multimillion-pound seed round co-investment into the University of Sheffield spinout robotics software business Bettering Our Worlds Limited (BOW).
Freeths’ Yorkshire corporate team provided extensive legal support to science and technology investment specialists Northern Gritstone, Finance Yorkshire and NPIF II (Praetura Equity Finance), on the £4m deal which comes as the robotics market is projected to reach $260 billion by 2030.
BOW offers a software platform that handles the complexities of robotics and allows developers to focus on innovation and creativity instead of technical challenges.
The innovative company is set to use the investment to fund essential development into BOW software and continue to grow operations for its people and clients.
Leading the Freeths team on this deal was Corporate Partner Dahren Naidoo and Corporate Associate Farrell Tang.
Commenting on the deal, Dahren Naidoo said: “It’s been a pleasure to have advised Northern Gritstone and its co-investors on this standout venture which will really help continue to drive this innovative, fast-growing market forward.”
