About Chloe
Chloe is an associate in the Competition team based in London. She advises on a range of UK competition law issues, including merger control, behavioural issues, competition compliance, and competition law risk in commercial agreements or transactions, in addition to providing competition law compliance training to Boards of Directors, Senior Management and In-House Legal teams. She also advises on the UK’s national security and investment regime.
Prior to joining Freeths, Chloe was an associate at Goodwin Procter and worked on a range of complex multijurisdictional merger control matters, including Amazon / iRobot. Chloe has experience of advising clients on complex matters involving multiple EU foreign direct investment and national security filings. Chloe advises clients in the retail, life sciences, financial, defence, and technology sectors. She trained at Bird & Bird, where she completed two seats of her training contract in competition, one of which was on secondment to the Brussels office. She completed her year abroad at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia.
Chloe recently obtained the Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King’s College London. She is a member of Shine, Freeths’ LGBTQ+ network and enjoys running and being at the gym in her spare time.

- Advising an international grocery retailer on all of its competition law requirements, including representing it on several CMA investigations, including inquiries into grocery pricing, retail competition and most recently on the CMA’s market study into infant formula
- Advising warehousing and logistics client A-SAFE on the antitrust and national security elements of its investment by AK Partners
- Providing strategic antitrust advice to an international investor on its acquisition of a minority share in a UK infrastructure and logistics business
- Advising a household cleaning brand on both the merger control and national security and investment aspects of its sale, including managing competition law risk in the M&A process via clean team arrangements
