About Katie

Katie Shaw is a solicitor in the firm’s specialist Clinical Negligence team, dealing with claims against NHS Trusts and private medical professionals. She works with individuals and their families to examine the medical care they have received and pursue accountability when treatment has been substandard.

Katie has experience in a wide range of cases, including; birth injury claims for both mother and baby, stillbirth claims, bladder injuries, orthopaedic and amputation cases and claims relating to delays in diagnosis of cancer.

In addition to managing her own case load Katie also works closely with Carolyn Lowe and Catherine Bell assisting on a number complex cases involving injuries of maximum severity.

Katie qualified and joined Freeths in September 2019.
