Laura Cope

Laura Cope is based in our Birmingham office and joined Freeths as a legal assistant in the Real Estate team in February 2017. As part of her training contract, Laura spent 6 months working in the Corporate team, 6 months on an in-house secondment with Travis Perkins in their Group Property Department and 6 months in the Property Litigation team before returning and qualifying into Real Estate in September 2021.

Laura has a wide range of experience in dealing with a variety of commercial property transactions including; acquisitions and disposals, leasehold management, landlord and tenant matters (acting for both landlord and tenant including lease renewals, surrenders and assignments), working for local authority clients, developments and land promotion agreements. Laura also has experience working on the real estate aspects of corporate transactions.
