Melanie Mapstone

Melanie qualified as a solicitor in 2001 and spent a large part of her career managing corporate finance transactions. She also spent several years acting as general legal counsel to one of the world's largest car manufacturers in its research and development company reviewing commercial contracts and advising on mergers acquisitions and disposals. Melanie also spent several years working for a global accountancy practice advising its clients on mergers, acquisitions and disposals, co-managing the transaction services team in global Midlands based firm before leaving to join a global law firm based in London to manage the due diligence team.  Melanie specialises in the provision of detailed investigations to ascertain the legal and commercial risks to clients seeking to acquire or invest in a target business or financers seeking to finance an acquisition. Melanie also provides vendor due diligence services to clients wishing to sell a business including preparing vendor due diligence reports and virtual data room services.  Melanie has advised on a variety of transaction types including share sales and purchases, IPOs, private equity investments and refinances.
