About Robyn

Robyn Hemmings joined the Freeths Oxford Court of Protection team in January 2019, coming to the firm from a criminal law background.

Robyn manages a large caseload of deputyships, ranging from elderly clients to clients with significant brain injuries. Robyn’s practical and sensitive approach to deputyships makes her a valuable member of the team. She has brought a fresh perspective to the clients in her caseload, emphasising decisions which improve clients’ quality of life and reflect decisions they would have made for themselves.

Robyn is currently managing cases involving both limited and substantial assets, continuing healthcare funding appeals, disputes between family members, which need to be managed sensitively and with care, as well as cases where there are international assets, involving liaising with solicitors and other organisations in foreign countries.

Robyn is also assisting in making Health and Welfare applications to the Court, as well as gift and Statutory Will applications, some of which have become contested, liaising with the Official Solicitor and respondents.

Robyn received a ‘Distinction in the STEP Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients’.
