Romano Obertelli

Romano is a Director in the Construction and Engineering Department based in the London office. He joined Freeths in 2024 having worked in large City law practices and his experience includes an international secondment with Diageo Ireland.

Romano has extensive experience of non-contentious construction matters. He has advised on the full range of construction documents (including framework agreements, building contracts, letters of intent, professional appointments, parent company guarantees, performance bonds and collateral warranties). He also advises on construction provisions which are appropriate for inclusion in property and finance documents.

He acts for the full range of clients in the construction industry and is well-versed in the standard forms which are commonly used on projects in the UK as well as drafting bespoke agreements to cater for clients’ needs.
