Sonya Friend

Sonya qualified as a Legal Executive in 2001 specialising in personal injury and clinical negligence. With a passion for patient justice, and after 5 years full time in clinical negligence, she went on to qualify as a specialist advocate in mental health working on acute wards and in secure settings ensuring patient rights were upheld. Sonya also managed a complaints department in the NHS, a role which gave her valuable insight into the complexities of the health services.  

Returning to private practice in 2022, Sonya brings a wealth of experience and a panoramic view of the issues that patients and their families face when things go wrong. Sonya provides a comprehensive, personable service to her clients supporting them to get the best possible outcome in their claims. Sonya has over 15 years’ experience in Claimant work and is driven by her desire to make bringing a claim as clear as possible.

She is also a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.
