Legal Apprentices
Become an apprentice at Freeths
Solicitor apprenticeship 6 years (school leavers)
Our six-year Solicitor Apprenticeship is an exciting opportunity for school leavers to qualify as a lawyer straight after completing their A-Levels, with vacancies available this year in Bristol, Birmingham, Leeds, and Oxford.
How the Solicitor Apprenticeship works:
Starting in September, after receiving your A-Level results, you'll become a valued member of our team, working alongside talented lawyers across the firm on a variety of legal tasks. As you progress, the work becomes more dynamic, offering you real-world experience and growing responsibility.
As a trainee solicitor apprentice, you will:
- Spend four days a week gaining hands-on experience with expert guidance from your department, and one day a week studying with the University of Law.
- Earn a degree-level qualification through the apprenticeship program.
- Prepare for and successfully complete your Solicitor Qualifying Exams (SQE 1 and 2).
- Gain the necessary qualifying work experience to ensure you’re ready to thrive as a solicitor.
Upon completing your apprenticeship and passing the SQE, you’ll be fully qualified and ready to embark on an exciting career as a solicitor.
“I started the Freeths legal assistant programme and have never looked back! The programme was an excellent way of starting my legal career as it enabled me to adapt to the legal working environment and learn ‘on the job’ whilst fully being supported by Freeths throughout.”
